How to live in Costa Rica on your Social Security check and have money left over
You can spend a lot of money if you want to live like a tourist in the resort areas. But you can live in the beautiful country side (like most people from the US, Canada and Europe choose to do) and you really can live on your Social Security or retirement check.
For example, many times I have eaten a full course steak dinner (or BBQ ribs) in a nice restaurant for less than $3.00 including tax and tip.
Most of the beautiful pictures you see from Costa Rica are not made in the tourist packed resort areas -- they are made in the beautiful country side.
